Biomass : Dewatered Waste Processing [Bespoke Conveyor]

Coveya was approached by Cannington Enterprises Ltd, based in Somerset as they needed a bespoke conveyor system  for taking around the clock, dewatered waste vegetation from their biomass process instead of offloading it from farm trailers.

Swang Farm has been operating for nearly 100 years and it wasn’t until 1997 when the company changed direction and the farm operation was separated from what was to become Cannington Cold Stores. Since then, they have diversified into sorting waste products such as fruit juice and now have their own biomass plant generating electricity for the farm and the grid.

With the help of the Coveya team, a design was produced which was later produced in 3D Solid works. The conveyor solution meant that they could divert the centrifuge waste to conveyors that would automatically convey from one to another and from one trailer to another, once each trailer had been filled.

The design was completed and manufactured at our Bristol site and the top half of the structure was pre-assembled to prove the concept and for our customer to see for themselves how it all goes together. The project will be completed during early 2020.
